Amazon Smile- Amazon Purchases can help support Whittier PTA!
Please don’t forget to support the Whittier PTA when you use Amazon! Place your Amazon orders at smile.Amazon.com, or with Amazon Smile turned ON in the Amazon app. While in the site, be sure to type in: Whittier Elementary School PTA under “pick your own charitable organization” and follow the prompts to select our PTA. Go directly to this link whenever you shop Amazon, rather than entering through the standard site. For purchases made using Smile (with Whittier specified) 0.5% will be donated back to Whittier PTA. If you have turned on Smile in the past, please double-check to be sure your account is still linked. Giving back has never been so easy!

And Now….A Special Message from Your PTA:
Did you know it takes a village to run all of the wonderful opportunities that the PTA hosts to support our Whittier school community? We have an AMAZING family of volunteers and would LOVE for YOU to join us!
COMMITTEE CHAIR OPENINGS – BOARD POSITIONS
2022-2023 – CO-VICE PRESIDENTS – 2 Volunteers Needed
2022-2023 – TREASURER – 1 Volunteer
Parent Volunteer Opportunity: Summer Math Club
Target Number of Volunteers: 2-5
Estimated Time Commitment: Minimal
Required Availability: Some Weekday Mornings (during the summer only)
Why do teenagers travel in groups of 3, 7 and 9? Because they CAN’T EVEN.
Love that parent math humor? Well, grab a coffee and a friend (or 2+1!) and enjoy the sweet, sweet organizational satisfaction that comes with assembling summer math folders for our Whittier students! Your hard work will save our amazing teachers time and allow our students to keep those math skills sharp in the summer-summer summertime.
Members of this committee may also be asked to check-in on program dates during the summer, as well as distribute prizes to hard-working students who have completed their assignments. You will bring a smile to our kids’ faces while keeping their math game fresh – it’s a plus-plus!
Afraid of committing, but want more info!? Well, you’ll fit right in! None of us remember agreeing to this, but are certainly happy to be making a difference. (We kid! We kid!)
Contact one of our PTA Co-Presidents (Mandi Torello at acraig1014@gmail.com or Sarah Forillo at sarahforillo@gmail.com) to learn more. We promise you won’t be signed up for anything until we hear “count me in”!
