Whittier Spirit Wear Spring Store Now Open
The virtual Whittier Spirit Wear store is open through Wednesday, April 13th with anticipated apparel delivery on Monday, May 9th. New Spring/Summer options have been added to the site for purchase alongside the grade-level Field Day shirts. Note that contributions to the Angel Fund will remain open to support families with the purchase of Field Day shirts. About the 2021/22 spirit wear vendor: Colorburst is a vocational division of Little Friends, a local non-profit that provides services and support to neurodiverse individuals. FUN LUNCH IS BACK!
What slays the hunger dragons and brings smiles to the faces of children and parents alike? FUN LUNCH!!!
Yes, dear families, Fun Lunch is returning to Whittier and you have a short window of opportunity to take advantage of the two offerings for the rest of this year. Here’s what you do ASAP.
Starting on Monday, 04/11 through Monday, 04/18, you must hurry over to our ordering site and select the delectable morsels your little ones would like to have for lunch. The two dates are 04/29 and 05/13. Do not wait because once the ordering window closes, no further changes or new orders can be accommodated.
Here are the specifics:
1. Log on to http://www.Boonli.com and create a new account (or access your former account). The access code for Whittier is: WES338.
2. Update your child’s/children’s home room teacher and grade level.
3. Order from the choices on both April 29th and May 13th for each of your children. We are pleased to offer Potbelly’s sandwiches and sides for both lunches this year.
4. Check out COMPLETELY including with payment to finalize your order. Sadly, orders left in the Boonli carts cannot be counted. Please double-check this and insure your payment has been accepted before logging out.

It is time for YOU TO STEP UP!!!!! Our fun programs cannot run without people stepping up!!!
Here is what we are looking for:
COMMITTEE CHAIR OPENINGS
Variety Show Committee Chairs
The Variety Show committee is responsible for the production of the annual Whittier School Variety Show (last presented in 2020) at the Tivoli Theatre. The show typically consists of over 200 students in more than 30 acts. Committee members coordinate school rehearsals and direct all aspects of the technical run, dress rehearsal, and school and final performances.
Target Number of Volunteers: 1-5Estimated Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per week from late November through the show in early February Required Availability: Weekdays After School, 1 Weekday During the School Day, and 1 Weekend Morning
Experiences Chair
Chair is responsible for working with parents and teachers who are interested in hosting experiences twice a year in conjunction with our Fall and Spring fundraiser. Work with Communications chair to set timeline and marketing strategy, gather relevant event details from hosts before opening event for registration and then share sign up details with hosts. COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE
What: Volunteers work to ensure accurate and timely PTA communications.
Specific Areas where help is needed:
- Directory: Compile and input information to help keep our family directory (Directory Spot) up-to-date
- Sign-ups: We need more people to manage sign-ups for events and fundraisers, as well as track payment
- Social Media: #Help with social media content management
- Website: Assist in organizing and updating our website
Who: 3-6 volunteers
When: The more people, the less time per person! We hope for about 1-2hr/week.
Parent Volunteer Opportunity: Summer Math Club
Target Number of Volunteers: 2-5
Estimated Time Commitment: Minimal
Required Availability: Some Weekday Mornings (during the summer only)
Afraid of committing, but want more info!? Well, you’ll fit right in! None of us remember agreeing to this, but are certainly happy to be making a difference. (We kid! We kid!)
