This past week – jam-packed with enrichment events – epitomizes what the PTA’s work is all about! Thank you to all who volunteered at or attended Science Night and to Debbie Dobrez for leading the charge. Also, congratulations to Carla Cash, Destination Imagination chairperson, and all of Whittier’s DI team managers and students for working so hard and accomplishing so much this DI season. Good luck to the four Whittier DI teams advancing to the state tournament!

You can still turn in your registration forms and/or class basket forms into the office via backpack. You can also pay at the door the night of the event, March 20th, for $30/per person.
Just a reminder, this is an adult only event. Be prepared to have fun, fun, fun!

Family Fun at Gatto’s
Grab your family and join some friends at the upcoming family fun dinner at Gatto’s on Monday, March 9th from 4:00pm-Close. Gatto’s will donate 10% of all purchases with our flyer back to the PTA. This is good for dine in and carryout orders. Look for a flyer in your child’s backpack later this week. Thanks everyone for supporting the Family Fun Committee!

Market Day: March Orders due on Saturday
Market Day order forms went home with your child last week and all orders must be placed by 11:00pm on Saturday, March 7.
As a reminder, important updates to Market Day procedures are going into effect immediately! All orders must be placed online at Marketday.com or you may call Market Day customer service at 877-632-7753 to place an order. All orders will need to be pre-paid using a credit card only. We can no longer accept cash or check the day of the sale. We will not be able to place your order if you send it back to school as you were allowed to in the past. We are sorry for all of the changes mid-year, but hope it will not deter your continued support!

Kindergarten Registration is open for the 2015 /2016 school year. To register, please call Whittier’s front office at (630) 719-5865. Even if you are an existing Whittier family and completed the registration online in previous years, you still need to let the office know you have a soon-to-be kindergartner. Please spread the word and tell your neighbors with in-coming kindergartners to call the school as well.
**Kindergarten Round-Up will be Friday, April 10, 2015 at 9:00-10:00 in the Jaguar Gym.
