“Stop focusing on how stressed you are and remember how blessed you are.” – Unknown
As we sprint to the finish line of 2014, we’d like to pause and take this opportunity to thank you for supporting the Whittier PTA and all of its efforts throughout the year! This week we are particularly appreciative of those on the hospitality committee who are contributing dishes to make the staff holiday luncheon a success, the parents who will be helping at the class holiday parties on Friday, and all who submitted gifts for the Whittier Winter Mitten recipients. All of these contributions (and we’re certain many others as well, including the hats, scarves, gloves, and mittens being donated to the Student Council’s drive for PADS ) are helping to make the kickoff to winter break special for Whittier’s wonderful faculty, staff, and students as well as for the surrounding Whittier community.
As we look forward to 2015, we are excited about all that lies ahead and hope you are too! Stay tuned for information about various opportunities for you to learn more about what the PTA has to offer and ways you can contribute.
The PTA is still looking for co-chairs for the 2015 Jaguar Jog. Interested? Want to learn more about what this would entail? Contact Rita (erbrezina@gmail.com) or Valerie (valerie_m_stone@yahoo.com).
The next PTA meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Jaguar Jungle. As always, free babysitting will be provided. We hope to see you there.
We are so fortunate to have a wonderful Whittier Community. Happy holidays! We hope your break is both festive and restful.

Family Fun
Thank you to everyone who attend the Family Fun Night at Tap House Grill. We raised $185.00 dollars! December is a busy month, so we have decided not to host a Family Fun Night this month. Hoping to host a free family event in January or February.
