Carol A. is now getting her full math fix in the Treasure role - we need about 5 friends to COUNT this committee as their own! With a full team, it’s easy as PI to DIVIDE up the work! Duties include making packet copies, supervising turn-in sessions at the DG Public Library (2-3 hr time slots) and handing out prizes to excited participants! This is a fun, low commitment role that yields lots of smiles!

Are you curious about the team who coordinates fun events like the Back-to-School Bash? Would you believe it is run by ONE person!
The PTA's talented Meghan L. does it all solo and is looking for a few partners to help work through ideas and coordinate logistics.

**Position Start: ASAP (Let's get brainstorming some fun ideas for next Fall!)
During the fall and spring seasons, students are invited (and challenged!) to put on their sneakers and hoof it around the school building during recess one day per week. With every lap completed, students earn tickets to spend at the Walking Club Store. In Walking Club season, volunteer time commitment is generally about 1 hr/week maximum.

This committee is in need of a Co-Chair (alongside Sarah B.). Committee Members duties may include:
*Prepping walking club tickets and materials
*Communicating schedule with Mr. Krugman and front office staff
*Obtaining and keeping inventory of prizes for the Walking Club Store
*Scheduling parent volunteers to help track student’s laps, distribute tickets, encourage kids to walk and distribute prizes during "Walking Club Store" weeks
Maggie W. is excited to find a few to folks who would like to chat legalese and review the Bylaws with her! We will update them (as needed), present changes to the Board, then send them off to the IL PTA for approval. This should take a few hours/meetings over the summer.

Members of the audit committee review the PTA’s annual financial reports and complete an audit report at the end of each fiscal year. This usually takes a few hours in the beginning of the summer.

This year's 2023 Fun Fair was a HUGE success, but it is a bit much for one volunteer! Our amazing Lindsay M. needs a team for next year - grab a cotton candy and come join the fun!
**Position Start: Late fall/early winter planning (then event typically in January)

New for the 2022-2023 school year - this committee is looking for additional members! The Whittier PTA has $2,000 budgeted toward a scholarship fund for high school senior (former) Whittier students who are pursuing education beyond high school. This committee develops the application, review and selection process for the scholarship(s).
