The District 58 PTA offers a Summer Math Club for students entering grades K-8. It provides participating students with three math packets for each grade level over the summer, that feature a variety of fun and interesting math activities, designed to keep young math minds active all summer long. After students submit each completed packet, they will receive prizes and their next math packet.
Volunteer for Summer Math Club!
This committee needs 5 parent/guardian volunteers over the SUMmer to make it a mathematical success!! With a full team, it’s easy as PI to DIVIDE up the work!
What Does the Summer Math Club Committee do?
- Make copies of the first math packet (takes about ~2 hours split up over 2 days at the school office)
- Sign up to supervise turn-in sessions at the DGPL (2-3 hr time slots) – hand out prizes that yield lots of smiles!
- Help gather parent volunteers (as supervisors) and HS student volunteers (as checkers) for the turn-in sessions
- Email packets as needed to parents who need electronic copies
