Whittier School PTA’s very own team of scientists is busy preparing for Family Science Night this coming Monday, Feb. 23. Be sure to register today to reserve your spot at the lab table! All Whittier students are invited along with their parents to participate in hands-on experiments. Sign-in at the Jaguar Jungle between 6:15-6:30. Experiments begin promptly at 6:30!
IMPORTANT: Please record the number of students attending in the RSVP Notes box, and include all student names as your guest(s) so we can form groups. We hope everyone can come, but please RSVP either way by Friday, February 20, so we know how many to expect.
All Family Science Night activities are designed and timed to promote interaction between children and their parents/guardians. For this reason, drop-off of students is not allowed. Although children will not eat anything during the science night, they may handle items such as rubber gloves or balloons that they could be allergic to. Please contact Debbie Dobrez if you have any concerns about allergies.
Looking forward to seeing you!
ADDITIONAL INFO FOR NEW WHITTIER FAMILIES: Science Night features several hands-on experiments for parents and their students: members of our PTA (parents and teachers) volunteer to lead these experiments and provide a bit of background on what each teaches us. Participants are organized into small groups and rotate from one experiment to the other. We do our best to choose experiments appropriate for kids of all ages, and parents are encouraged to actively participate, too—we always have fun!
